Remote Data Engineer / Data Modeler

Description:

• Essnova Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer / Data Modeler to design and maintain data architectures for government clients, focusing on healthcare, geospatial, and environmental solutions.
• The role involves collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or data architecture.
• Proven experience in designing scalable database architectures and optimizing query performance.
• Hands-on experience with automated data ingestion, transformation, and loading pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar databases.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data transformation and automation.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Knowledge of FedRAMP requirements and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in Git and experience designing data models for analytics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 Public Trust and travel approximately 10% as needed.
