Description:
As a member of the Data Engineering team, you will work on a high-volume healthcare data migration project.
The core mission involves moving a massive legacy Epic Clarity (Oracle) dataset to Google BigQuery.
You will serve as a trusted advisor, assisting clients throughout their journey on Google Cloud.
This role acts as a bridge between legacy on-prem infrastructure and modern cloud architecture.
The position requires deep technical knowledge of Epic Clarity schemas and the ability to solve complex data type conversion challenges.
Responsibilities include designing and executing technical processes for data migration, handling complex schema mappings, and troubleshooting pipeline failures.
You will develop automated SQL scripts and testing frameworks to validate data replication accuracy at scale.
Performing root cause analysis on data inconsistencies and creating technical documentation for data lineage and conversion logic are also key tasks.
You will optimize SQL queries for performance within the BigQuery environment and collaborate with Data Analysts to ensure migrated data meets clinical reporting standards.
Requirements:
A deep understanding of the Clarity data model, ETL Console, and underlying Oracle structures is required.
Advanced PL/SQL scripting skills, performance tuning experience, and knowledge of Oracle legacy hardware constraints are necessary.
A proven track record of migrating on-premise data warehouses to the cloud (ETL/ELT) is essential.
Proficiency in SQL is mandatory, and experience with Python or Shell scripting for automation is highly valued.
