Remote Data Platform Engineer

Description:

• Seeking a Data Platform Engineer to scale a SaaS platform for more customers and data.
• Role involves working with data pipelines to transform raw data into enhanced datasets for analysts and scientists.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in a similar role.
• Experience with data pipelines in AWS.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau for data model optimization.
• Familiar with streaming and batch pipeline construction.
• Experience with DBT or Dataform, Apache Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Capable of processing large-scale data pipelines (~1TB/day).
• Knowledge of BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in creating documentation and diagrams for team alignment.
• Strong skills in breaking down system designs into tasks with realistic estimates.
• Passionate about automation and monitoring.
