Remote Data Scientist

Description:

• GeoDelphi Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to deliver critical insights to their customer, TacSRT, which focuses on Tactical Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Tracking.
• The role involves leveraging commercial satellite imagery and advanced analytics to provide timely situational awareness and operational planning products to combatant commanders.
• The Data Scientist will uncover hidden activities within non-pixel data and deliver actionable information.
• Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing statistics from multiple sources, strategizing to locate new data, exploring data from various angles, and communicating findings to assist the customer.
• The candidate will collaborate with engineering and research & development teams to refine data management and analytics procedures.
• The role requires the ability to identify new uses for existing data sources and implement software to handle data efficiently.
• The Data Scientist will conduct scalable data research, build large data sets, and deliver products within a 24 to 72-hour turnaround for various missions.
• The position may require occasional weekend availability for client requests.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science with a focus on geospatial data analysis is required.
• The candidate must have experience in statistical modeling, experimental design, and validating predictive models.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools to deliver interactive products to stakeholders is necessary.
• Proven experience in supporting military tactical operations is essential.
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform effectively in high operational environments.
• Experience with non-pixel, non-semantic sensor data (e.g., AIS, ADS-B, ADINT) is required.
• The candidate must be a US citizen and reside in the contiguous United States, and must be a W2 employee of GeoDelphi, Inc. No third-party applications will be accepted.
