Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who focuses on solving problems and designing practical solutions.
• You will take ownership of delivery platforms and influence technical direction across teams and clients.
• This role combines deep hands-on engineering with leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement.
• You will work in agile delivery teams and help shape how DevOps is applied across enterprise environments.
• Key responsibilities include leading the design and improvement of CI/CD platforms and workflows, owning complex technical problems from discovery through to solution, defining and promoting engineering standards and best practices, designing Infrastructure as Code solutions for cloud and hybrid platforms, providing technical leadership within delivery teams, mentoring and developing junior and mid-level engineers, reviewing designs, code, and pipelines, working closely with architects, product owners, and stakeholders, communicating trade-offs and decisions clearly, and contributing to roadmap planning and technical strategy.

Requirements:

• Strong experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines is required.
• A deep understanding of Git-based workflows is necessary.
• Experience with Terraform using HCL in production environments is essential.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling is required, along with experience in other languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
• Strong experience with one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is needed.
• Working knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid architectures is important.
• An understanding of identity, networking, and security in cloud platforms is required.
• Strong Linux experience is necessary, along with Windows Server experience and familiarity with macOS for engineering workflows.
• Good depth of knowledge in networking, including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, and routing is required.
• VMware experience (vSphere, ESXi or similar) is necessary, along with an understanding of physical infrastructure and data center environments.
• Proven experience leading by influence, not title, is essential.
• The ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly is required.
• Comfort in challenging designs and assumptions is necessary.
• Experience developing and mentoring engineers is important.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills are required.
• The ability to balance delivery with longer-term improvement is essential.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments is necessary.
• Comfort in working across multiple teams or clients is required.
• A pragmatic approach to tooling and architecture is important.
