Remote Junior Backend Developer

Description:

• Join Code Hunter as a Junior Backend Developer in a remote role, preferably in the US Eastern time zone.
• Work closely with the SVP of Engineering and engineering lead, receiving mentorship and code reviews.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java/Spring Boot and AWS.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack developer in any language.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Ability to learn new languages/frameworks quickly; Java/Spring Boot experience is a plus.
• Experience with REST APIs and familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with proactive communication.
• Growth mindset, open to feedback and building toward greater ownership.
