• CTEC has experienced rapid growth over the past three years and is seeking to expand its capabilities in cloud development and national-security focused agencies.
• The position is for a Mid-level Software Developer who will support the Office of Personnel Management’s Health and Insurance business unit and Office of the Chief Information Officer.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and enhancing software applications, building and integrating software components, developing and maintaining applications utilizing relational databases, implementing data processing scripts using Python and PySpark, writing clean and maintainable code, developing and executing tests, participating in Agile development ceremonies, supporting cloud implementation, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• The role requires working under moderate supervision with guidance from senior personnel.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least three to five years of experience in software development or application engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for database development, data queries, and data manipulation is required.
• Candidates must have strong proficiency in Python and experience using PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Experience developing applications in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, is necessary.
• A working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases is required.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating web services is essential.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines is needed.
• Candidates should have a working knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
