Remote Modern Workplace Engineer - Azure Virtual Desktop

Description:

• We’re looking for an Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to help maintain and improve a production AVD environment used across a distributed workforce.
• This is a hands-on technical role focused on platform reliability, image management, and endpoint performance within Azure and Intune environments.
• You’ll work directly with cloud infrastructure and modern workplace technologies to keep systems stable, secure, and scalable.
• Manage and support Azure Virtual Desktop host pools and session hosts.
• Troubleshoot performance, authentication, and connectivity issues across the AVD platform.
• Maintain and update golden images and software deployments.
• Administer endpoints and policies through Intune / Endpoint Manager.
• Manage identity and access via Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Follow change management processes and contribute to environment improvements.
• This position is fully remote with 160 guaranteed hours per month.

Requirements:

• Experience working with Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365 environments is required.
• Strong Windows 10/11 and endpoint troubleshooting skills are necessary.
• Experience with Intune or modern endpoint management is essential.
• Familiarity with identity management (AD / Entra ID) is required.
• Candidates must be comfortable working independently in production environments.
• Strong English communication skills are necessary for this role.
