Description:

Serve as the primary architect and leader for data governance initiatives across a large-scale data integration project.
Design, implement, and operationalize comprehensive data governance programs, including data quality, stewardship, lineage, access control, and documentation.
Collaborate with technical project leads, business stakeholders, and customer teams to translate operational requirements into actionable governance solutions.
Set and enforce governance standards for the project team, ensuring consistency, transparency, and compliance.
Lead the creation and maintenance of governance artifacts, facilitating handover and long-term sustainability for clients.
Actively participate in project reviews, providing constructive feedback and identifying risks or inefficiencies.
Mentor team members on governance best practices, fostering a collaborative culture.
Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and training for smooth adoption of governance processes.

Requirements:

3–5 years of hands-on experience developing in Databricks, with relevant certifications.
Strong business acumen to understand operational requirements and translate them into governance deliverables.
Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and work independently in ambiguous contexts.
Experience leading governance efforts and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Expertise in developing governance documentation and frameworks, including data quality policies and stewardship models.
Ability to provide insights, challenge assumptions, and advocate for best practices.
Experience with Databricks Unity Catalogue or similar data governance tools is a plus.
Proactive and constructive communication skills.
