Description:

  • The QA Architect will design and develop the test automation framework, harnesses, and code libraries to enable the team to both use and enhance them across successive projects.
  • This role involves providing consultation on complex testing strategies for the project.
  • The QA Architect will take the lead on urgent issues and projects, ensuring statuses are properly communicated and appropriate staffing resources are assigned as required.
  • They will provide technical know-how, documentation, and training to test and other business functions.
  • Staying up to speed on process, practice, and technology developments is essential to ensure they are brought in-house and enhance the solutions applied to the testing problems.
  • The role requires identifying what tools and technologies can be implemented, aligning with those already used across the broader development function and in line with the skill-set of the team.
  • The QA Architect must possess a broad awareness of testing approaches, practices, and techniques to help design and deliver the overall testing methodology used by the team.
  • They will create and validate automated scripts that support the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • Leading in the definition and implementation of direction on automation techniques and adherence to standards is a key responsibility.
  • The QA Architect will apply Testing Lifecycle Management principles in the context of a project.
  • Mentoring the entire quality assurance team is expected.
  • They will also evaluate candidates for open positions.

Requirements:

  • A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience in the professional industry is necessary.
  • The candidate must have experience with performance and usability testing.
  • Experience with Selenium using JAVA, JMeter, Appium, and Git is required.
  • The candidate should have experience building and using testing frameworks for release engineering.
  • Agile/Scrum experience is a must.
  • Exceptionally clear communication with the engineering team is essential.
  • A flexible attitude and versatile personality are required.
