Description:

Seeking a software engineer specializing in security and privacy to grow the product security team at Tailscale.
Focus on improving security properties, auditing features for weaknesses, and supporting engineering decisions with security expertise.

Requirements:

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Tailscale uses Go) and one application platform (e.g., iOS, Android, web, Windows, macOS, Linux).
Prior experience in application security, penetration testing, threat modeling, user experience design, or digital forensics.
Deep understanding of web application vulnerabilities and common API security flaws.
Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and promote secure coding practices.
Knowledge of cryptographic primitives, protocols, and common networking protocols.
