The Senior Software Application Engineer will maintain, upgrade, and support the technical systems that power Warner Music Group’s global operations.
This hybrid role combines Software Engineering with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and operational support.
Responsibilities include writing clean code in Java or Python, upgrading application frameworks, debugging systems errors, monitoring production systems, leading root cause analyses, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility for their systems and value continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally with Java or Python for backend and Angular or React for frontend.
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL and writing SQL queries is required.
Effective communication skills are necessary to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
Candidates should be comfortable collaborating in distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Preferred qualifications include experience with enterprise systems, hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in AWS, and the ability to diagnose issues across various layers.
