Description:

A Senior Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails) is responsible for designing, developing, and testing server-side logic for web applications using Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework.
They build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code, optimize the system for speed and scalability, and ensure high performance and availability of the applications.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end elements into applications, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Essential duties include developing software solutions by studying information needs, designing and testing server-side logic, documenting solutions, and improving existing components.
The developer will also identify and resolve performance issues, lead agile teams, implement automated testing, and improve operations through systems analysis.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Backend Developer, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Ruby, is necessary.
Experience with agile project management and workflow tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello is required.
Proficiency in using Git or other version control systems is essential.
Candidates must be proficient in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and other relevant backend technologies, as well as database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with RESTful API design, user authentication mechanisms, and cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is expected.
