The Senior Backend Software Developer works within a SCRUM team to develop, design, and implement new or modified software products or ongoing business projects.
The target of development is the automation of business processes and cross-platform automation.
The holder of the position handles all phases of the software development lifecycle, especially for small or midsize solutions.
Responsibilities include following agreed methodology steps and rituals, taking responsibility for produced code, and independently delivering functional solutions with the team.
The developer is expected to share knowledge with less experienced colleagues, document, and share best practices.
Continuous self-development and following industry trends are also part of the role.
The position helps Telekom manage state-sponsored projects in extending high-speed internet in Germany.
The platform developed is essential for entering project details and managing the entire lifecycle.
Requirements:
Candidates must have advanced experience in Application Development (Object-Oriented).
Expert knowledge of Java SE (Java 8 and newer), including OOP principles and design patterns, is required.
Strong experience with Spring or Spring Boot or JEE is necessary.
A high level of experience with PostgreSQL is required.
Candidates should have strong experience with Kotlin or extensive expertise in Java with a willingness to learn Kotlin.
Advanced experience with ORM and REST is essential.
A high level of experience with VCS and build tools (preferably Git and Gradle) is required.
Candidates must be able to work both individually and in a team.
A willingness to learn and teach new technologies is necessary.
Candidates should be self-motivated and organized.
Solid communication skills (oral and written) and a willingness to develop them further are required.
Understanding of Cloud systems, DevOps concepts, and tooling is an advantage.
Candidates must speak English at least at a B2 level.

The final salary is negotiable, with a base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience, starting at no less than 3100 € /brutto.
