The vision is to create the “World’s Online Main Street,” offering engaging and social online shopping experiences.
Palmstreet is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to lead architectural decisions, work on core user experiences, develop scalable architecture, innovate features, and maintain a reliable deployment pipeline.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, collaborating with PM, design, and infrastructure teams, and owning specific components or systems.

Requirements:

A BS (or higher) in Computer Science is required.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is necessary.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure is required.
Experience with payment systems is preferred.
Familiarity with Kubernetes is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000 CAD.
Equity grants will be provided as part of the total compensation package.
