Description:

  • Quanata is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to assist in delivering data science services and streaming data pipelines.
  • The role involves developing data pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources to evaluate insured risk and provide access to key datasets for business and partners.
  • Daily responsibilities include designing and building robust data pipelines, creating streaming data pipelines using Kafka and AWS services, and operating data services accessible through APIs.
  • The engineer will support data science workflows, implement data quality frameworks, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and ensure reliable service delivery.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders is essential to understand requirements and deliver valuable solutions.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • Candidates should have 6-8 years of industry experience in data engineering or software engineering with a focus on data systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data pipeline development and analysis is necessary.
  • Experience with AWS data platforms such as Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda, and Step Functions is required.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is expected.
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka or Kinesis is important.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions is needed.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is required.
  • An understanding of data modeling principles is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong collaborative focus are essential.
  • Experience with CI/CD tailored for machine learning systems is preferred.

  • The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $215,000 to $300,000, based on skills and experience.
