Description:

  • Object Computing, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geospatial Data Engineer to join the Xtrack Product Team.
  • The role involves leading the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-based geospatial data infrastructures.
  • The position focuses on improving safety and operational efficiencies for organizations in the rail industry.
  • The engineer will work with cutting-edge technologies in image processing, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and geospatial database management.
  • Responsibilities include optimizing complex business processes and unlocking new value from large-scale geospatial datasets.
  • Key tasks include architecting, designing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructures for geospatial and big data applications.
  • The engineer will lead the development and optimization of ETL processes for large volumes of geospatial and tabular data.
  • The role requires designing and building API-driven web services to enable integration across products.
  • Collaboration with backend and platform engineers is essential to ensure secure and reliable service communication.
  • The engineer will translate complex analytics into actionable data solutions and work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities also include driving the adoption of cloud-based data solutions and ensuring data quality and security.
  • The engineer will mentor junior team members and communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:
