The Senior Software Engineer will join the Core Platform team and be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and operation of business-critical features that add customer value.
The role includes ensuring operational excellence, metrics, observability, and best practices, as well as mentoring within the team and across the engineering department.
The position requires building and operating distributed, real-time services using Ruby and Typescript/Node.js, hosted on AWS.
Responsibilities include leading architectural decisions, driving projects to increase platform resilience and scalability, and participating in an on-call rotation for critical system issues.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience in back-end development with languages such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Typescript, or NodeJS, focusing on security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
Extensive experience with AWS in a production environment is required, preferably for high volume/high availability services.
Candidates should be autonomous with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
A desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth tech-first environment is essential.
