Remote Senior Software Engineer II - AI Engineering (Remote Eligible)

Description:

• Design and build production-grade LLM-powered agents and workflows within Smartsheet.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.
• Mentor and guide other engineers on applied ML best practices and modern AI development patterns.
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI/LLM landscape and evaluate emerging tools and techniques.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years working directly with LLMs in production.
• Strong working knowledge of RAG architectures and experience building LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Strong Python skills and experience in data-heavy environments.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
