Description:

Censys is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend, Distributed Systems) to build scalable services, APIs, and internal tooling for processing large datasets.
The role involves developing high-quality datasets and APIs to support Internet-wide scanning and enhance security outcomes.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly in Go.
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and message queue technologies (AWS Kinesis, Google Pub/Sub, Kafka).
Familiarity with databases (BigTable, Cloud Spanner, HBase, Cassandra) and core distributed systems concepts.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers and product managers.

Competitive salary range: $137,000 - $169,000 (high cost of living areas) or $120,000 - $157,000 (other US locations) plus bonus and equity.
