Description:

Join Vultr's Core Cloud Engineering team to build the out-of-band control plane for servers.
Work with hardware and write systems code primarily in Rust, with some Go and PHP.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend services or systems software.
Production experience in Rust, Go, or C/C++ and willingness to focus on Rust.
Solid knowledge of Linux, HTTP APIs, JSON, gRPC, and familiarity with IPMI, Redfish, or bare metal provisioning.
Strong written communication skills and ability to read vendor documentation and RFCs.
Bonus: exposure to DPUs, SmartNICs, SR-IOV, virtualization stacks, BGP, or datacenter networking.
