Description:

  • RemoFirst is seeking a Staff Back-End Engineer to enhance and transition backend systems from Python to Java.
  • The role involves hands-on technical ownership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of backend software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask) and Java (preferably Spring Boot).
  • Proficient in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
