Description:

  • Seeking a hands-on Database Engineer to manage PostgreSQL as a production system at Stream.
  • Responsible for performance, reliability, and operability of databases for Stream's real-time platform.

Requirements:

  • Deep PostgreSQL expertise, including internals and debugging.
  • Experience with production ownership at scale, managing high-traffic services.
  • Self-managed databases experience (Kubernetes, bare-metal, or VMs).
  • Proven experience with sharding and scaling PostgreSQL workloads.
  • Engineering mindset with coding ability and understanding of application access patterns.
  • Ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining critical judgment.
