Description:

  • The company is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Education team to build a learning platform for administrators, teachers, and parents.
  • The role involves launching new features and products that help educators plan activities, track student development, and share progress with families.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in fast-paced early- or mid-stage startups.
  • Experience in delivering large-scale backend systems that enhance customer-facing experiences and business operations is required.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Ruby on Rails, Python, or Go is necessary for designing and implementing distributed systems.
  • Experience with billing systems like Stripe and maintaining integrations is essential.
  • Candidates should have contributed to or led migration efforts in evolving codebases and partnered with cross-functional teams to launch features.
  • Mentoring other engineers and establishing best practices is expected.
  • Bonus points for experience with microservices/service-oriented architectures and full-stack development using React.js.
