Description:

bwise Media is a global digital media agency focused on monetizing sports websites and apps.
The Backend Developer will develop, maintain, and optimize backend services, APIs, databases, and infrastructure for digital products in the sports and iGaming industry.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Backend Developer or in a related role.
Strong knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Next.js, Golang or similar.
Hands-on experience designing, building and working with RESTful APIs.
Experience with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL alternatives.
Knowledge of cloud/server infrastructure such as AWS or Hetzner.
Understanding of real-time data processing, caching strategies, and background jobs/queues.
Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend architectures.
Good understanding of security, performance optimization, and reliable data handling.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Very good command of English; any additional language is a plus.
Ideally Naples based.
