Description:

Deepgram is seeking a backend software engineer to lead the design and implementation of internal data and ML training systems.
The role involves designing and implementing secure, robust, and scalable services for data cataloging, querying, and access.
Responsibilities include engineering ML training code for performance and extensibility, developing processes for optimizing system performance, and debugging complex system issues.
The engineer will collaborate with DataOps and Research to design and implement new services, features, and products from start to finish.
Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy balancing product maturity decisions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in an industry role.
Programming experience in Rust (or C, C++) is required, along with competence in Python.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
A high level of experience and understanding of version control, preferably git, is necessary.
Comprehensive experience with UNIX-style systems is required.
