Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification and be an expert in Excel, along with a Certified Data Analyst (CDA) certification.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, IT, Financial Analysis, or a related field is required, along with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in Excel automation using VBA, Power Query, and Power Pivot is essential for advanced data modeling and analysis.
  • Strong data analysis skills, particularly in financial and agricultural data, are necessary, including proficiency with advanced Excel features like PivotTables and complex formulas.
  • Candidates should have experience in financial management reporting, including budget formulation and user-fee analysis, as well as the ability to create user manuals and deliver training sessions.
  • Familiarity with USDA's reporting requirements and the ability to manage large datasets and integrate Excel with databases is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with USDA divisions are essential.
