The Lead Software Engineer will lead a team through the design, planning, and implementation phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Responsibilities include driving software design and architecture, being hands-on with development work, and providing peer review and guidance to other engineers.
The role requires adherence to quality, security, and architecture standards.
This position is remote and open exclusively to U.S. citizens due to the sensitive nature of the data and regulatory compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient team operations, producing architectural diagrams and documentation, writing code across the entire stack, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is necessary.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, preferably within SaaS or technology-driven organizations, is required.
At least 2 years of experience leading software development teams is necessary.
Expertise in .NET and/or Java is required, with Spring Boot experience being a major plus.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular is required.
Experience in writing and documenting public and private APIs is necessary.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Infrastructure as Code is required.
Experience with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres is necessary, with knowledge of alternative datastores being a plus.
A strong understanding of web development frameworks and architectures is required.
Knowledge of VOIP/Telephony protocols such as SIP, SDP, SIPREC, and RTP is necessary.
Understanding of handling and manipulating audio streams and codecs is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration across teams.
