Description:

Backend-architecture-heavy platform engineering role focused on reliability, scale, performance, and developer experience of core infrastructure and systems.
Responsible for production uptime, incident response, CI/CD, and cost efficiency in a team of ~15 engineers.

Requirements:

2–4 years of experience managing production cloud infrastructure for high-availability, user-facing platforms.
Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, EC2, and networking.
Proven track record in CI/CD, release automation, observability, and incident response systems.
Strong backend engineering judgment and experience with service architecture, APIs, and scaling limits.
Experience with bursty workloads, long-running jobs, and high-concurrency services.
Background in data-heavy, ML/AI, or enterprise platforms is a plus.
Focus on reducing cloud spend through better architecture and autoscaling.
Comfortable writing production-quality code.

Salary range: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually.

On-site position in San Francisco, CA, with options for Singapore-based candidates and remote independent contractors from Europe.
