Description:

• PLOS is a nonprofit Open Access publisher seeking a Publishing Operations Content Technical Lead to oversee content publication and provide technical guidance to the production team.
• The role involves managing the production workflow, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and implementing quality improvements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years’ experience managing vendors and contractors.
• At least three years of experience in a structured data environment with markup languages, preferably XML, and significant publishing experience.
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with the Journal Article Tag Suite (JATS) and experience with archival and syndication workflows.
