Description:

  • Join the Gitaly team as a Senior Backend Engineer to build GitLab's Git data storage tier, ensuring reliable and fast access to Git repositories.
  • Work on distributed storage, repository management, high availability, performance, and operational excellence for GitLab.com and self-managed customers.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in building and optimizing distributed or highly available software systems in production environments.
  • Strong systems design skills and experience with Go or another backend language; familiarity with Ruby, Git internals, gRPC is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and communicate technical concepts effectively.
