- Design, implement, and evolve backend capabilities for GitLab's global platform.
- Solve complex problems, influence technical direction, and improve system quality and performance.
Requirements:
- Strong command of backend architecture, APIs, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in modern backend languages and systems programming.
- Experience with modular backend boundaries and migration-safe architectures.
- Ability to lead through influence and clear communication.
- Experience with agentic AI systems in production.
- Helpful: experience with distributed systems, containerized operations, and database performance.
