Description:

Own the architecture and evolution of the SMBP Operator's CRD API surface, designing extensions for enterprise expectations.
Design and implement flexible network configuration patterns for customer choice.
Build observability integration with Prometheus-native metrics and pre-built dashboards.
Harden the operator's security posture across various security contexts and policies.
Ensure SMBP deployability across multiple Kubernetes environments including EKS, GKE, AKS, and OpenShift.
Develop operational tooling for scalable support and diagnostics.
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand deployment requirements and technical escalations.

Requirements:

Production experience with Rust, including managing a multi-crate workspace and async programming.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, including controllers and reconciliation loops.
Hands-on experience in Kubernetes operator development using frameworks like controller-runtime or kubebuilder.
Fluency in Kubernetes networking, including Service types and Ingress configurations.
Experience managing StatefulSets in production environments.
Knowledge of observability integration with Prometheus metrics.
Familiarity with enterprise customer requirements and security reviews.
