Remote Platform Engineer - Army (FedD151/FedD168)

Description:

• Serve as a Platform Engineer focusing on Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized applications for government-backed vendors.
• Deploy and manage UDS environments across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-premises.
• Build and maintain custom UDS packages and modules for streamlined deployment.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration.
• Provide on-call support and serve as the primary technical interface for customers.
• Develop and deliver tailored technical training content.
• Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance deployment efficiency and outcomes.
• Analyze operational data to optimize strategies and drive improvements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer with a focus on system architecture.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or on-prem Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Helm, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps/DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote team.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel for training and support.
• DoD IAT Level II certification preferred; DoD Secret clearance is a plus.
