  • The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team operates across the engineering organization, supporting development teams by providing tools and processes to enhance their work.
  • The SRE team ensures that the service provided by the product is excellent for paying customers and keeps the business informed when it is not.
  • Responsibilities include learning through documentation, partnering with development teams, building infrastructure automation, developing observability processes, eliminating toil through automation, ensuring compliance and security, and acting ethically and professionally.
  • The team values thoughtful and pragmatic engineering, balancing doing things right versus doing things right now, and invests in written communication for long-term memory while valuing synchronous time together.
  • The position is hybrid or remote, with a location preference in the San Francisco Bay Area (Menlo Park).

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as the team uses Slack, Notion, and GitHub for communication.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code is necessary, specifically with Terraform and AWS.
  • Candidates should have experience with containers and container orchestration tools, particularly ECS.
  • Proficiency in authoring and maintaining code using Bash, Python, and Golang is required.
  • Experience with observability tools and techniques, specifically Datadog, is necessary.
  • A love for the Oxford comma is appreciated.
  • Nice to have skills include experience with cloud cost management and FinOps, building and maintaining SaaS or web-based applications, distributed system principles, multi-region or cell-based applications, managing cloud vendor relationships, and working in compliance and regulated environments (SOC2 and HIPAA).
