Description:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for DemandTec’s AI-driven retail platform.
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Mentor team members and contribute to architecture decisions.
Implement new features, optimize existing services, and ensure high performance, reliability, and security.

Requirements:

Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, software design).
Proficiency in Software Development using Agentic engineering with production-quality product experience.
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, APIs, microservices, and databases.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in RDBMS (preferably Postgres) and data modeling.
Expert level in at least two of C#, Python, or Java.
Familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI, .Net Core, Spring Boot, etc.
Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (Git).
Flexibility to work across timezones and strong problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Experience in retail, pricing, or data-intensive SaaS products is a plus.
