Description:

  • Build a reliability practice from the ground up, establishing engineering standards like SLOs, error budgets, and observability.
  • Transition the organization from reactive firefighting to a proactive reliability practice, leading infrastructure evolution and incident response.

Requirements:

  • Deep SRE expertise: Define SLIs/SLOs, run incident response, build observability, and design error-budget policies.
  • Technical expertise in AWS: Operate services on AWS, debug production issues, and manage tooling migrations.
  • Impact and leadership: Mentor engineers, define alerts, and teach observability dashboard creation.
  • Strong communication skills: Proactively communicate changes, write accessible postmortems, and influence roadmap decisions.
