The Software Engineer, Platform will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring reproducibility, security, and automation across environments.
The role involves developing and supporting backend services using TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js, while interfacing with MongoDB and Postgres databases for performance and reliability.
The engineer will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch to support application and platform needs.
Responsibilities include building reusable infrastructure modules and internal tooling to empower product engineering teams and improve development velocity.
The engineer will own the full lifecycle of platform features, from design and implementation to monitoring and supporting them in production.
The position is fully remote, working within a globally distributed team with asynchronous workflows and a high ownership culture.

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience in high-growth startup environments or similarly fast-paced, agile teams, and may have launched their own projects.
Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and production systems is required, along with a strong DevOps mindset.
Applicants must have built and supported web and backend systems using modern cloud-native tools and frameworks.
A passion for infrastructure as code, automation, and driving platform-level improvements that support other engineering teams is essential.
Strong communication skills are necessary, as the role involves working deeply on technical systems while proactively engaging with the team.
Candidates should be energized by talking to users or teammates to understand pain points and drive solutions.
