Description:

Enode is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to enhance the reliability, observability, and efficiency of its Electrical Vehicle & Chargers (EVC) platform.
The role focuses on improving the connectivity layer of Enode’s API, which aggregates integrations with EV chargers, vehicles, and OEM platforms.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining API integrations, improving the connectivity platform, developing automations and internal tools, defining SLAs, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
The tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Node, AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL, structured via CDK/CloudFormation.
The position is not focused on infrastructure or DevOps but rather on product-level platform development.

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience writing maintainable, testable backend code, preferably in an API or integration-heavy environment.
A strong interest in platform engineering, particularly in building connectivity layers for integrations, is essential.
Applicants should enjoy both creating new integrations and enhancing the reliability of existing systems.
Systematic debugging skills and a proactive approach to improving tools and processes are required.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is necessary, with a willingness to learn TypeScript if not already proficient.
