Description:

  • Enode is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to enhance the reliability, observability, and efficiency of its Electrical Vehicle & Chargers (EVC) platform.
  • The role focuses on improving the connectivity layer of Enode’s API, which aggregates integrations with EV chargers, vehicles, and OEM platforms.
  • Responsibilities include building and maintaining API integrations, improving the connectivity platform, developing automations and internal tools, defining SLAs, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • The tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Node, AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL, structured via CDK/CloudFormation.
  • The position is not focused on infrastructure or DevOps but rather on product-level platform development.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have experience writing maintainable, testable backend code, preferably in an API or integration-heavy environment.
  • A strong interest in platform engineering, particularly in building connectivity layers for integrations, is essential.
  • Applicants should enjoy both creating new integrations and enhancing the reliability of existing systems.
  • Systematic debugging skills and a proactive approach to improving tools and processes are required.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is necessary, with a willingness to learn TypeScript if not already proficient.
  • Clear communication, proactive collaboration, and positive contributions to team discussions are expected.
  • Candidates should embody curiosity, respect, and a growth-oriented mindset, valuing teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement.
