Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• Join OpenMined as a Senior / Staff Software Engineer to lead the Network Sourced AI squad, focusing on building core products for non-public data.
• Responsible for technical architecture, production readiness, and mentoring the team to establish engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of building and operating production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, async patterns, Docker) and experience with distributed systems, API design, and practical RAG/information retrieval.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and comfort with ambiguity and resource constraints.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones.
