Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Crime Data Analyst with expert-level SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
This role is ideal for individuals with a solid background in financial crime analytics, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and transaction monitoring.
As a fully remote member of a U.S.-based team, you will analyze financial data to uncover suspicious activity, support investigations, and ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory standards.
Your insights will directly impact how we detect and prevent financial crime.
Key responsibilities include building and optimizing complex SQL queries to analyze high-volume financial datasets, performing data-driven investigations related to AML, KYC, and transaction monitoring, and translating analytical findings into actionable intelligence and regulatory reporting.
You will collaborate with compliance, risk, and data engineering teams to support anti-financial crime initiatives and maintain compliance with U.S. financial regulations such as BSA, OFAC, and FinCEN.
It is essential to uphold data governance standards and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Requirements:

Advanced SQL skills are required, with a track record of working with large, high-complexity datasets.
Demonstrated experience in financial crime analytics, specifically in AML, KYC, and transaction monitoring, is necessary.
A strong understanding of U.S. financial regulations and compliance frameworks is essential.
The ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business insights is required.
Familiarity with data governance practices and regulatory reporting requirements is important.
Experience with BI/visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
