Description:

Core backend engineering position at a fintech company focused on building global trust infrastructure.
Design systems and APIs for a high-trust, regulated environment.

Requirements:

5–7+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js/TypeScript preferred; Python, Go, or Java also considered).
Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed backend services.
Hands-on experience with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL).
Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Experience deploying and managing containerized or cloud-based applications (Kubernetes, AWS).
Background in regulated or high-trust domains (fintech, payments, identity).
Strong systems thinking and clear communication skills.
European timezone availability required.
Nice to have: experience with Event Sourcing, Express, or early-stage environments.

Base salary range: €116,000 – €146,000, with no individual negotiation.
Fully remote position with in-person team meetings approximately every six weeks.
