Description:

Core backend engineering role at a fintech company focused on global trust and compliance infrastructure.
Design scalable systems and APIs for a high-trust product, influencing technical architecture and engineering culture.

Requirements:

5 to 7+ years of backend engineering experience with production-grade systems, APIs, or distributed services.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java); Node.js and TypeScript preferred.
Experience in designing scalable backend infrastructure for high-trust or regulated environments (fintech, payments, identity).
Production experience with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL).
Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka); Event Sourcing knowledge is a bonus.
Experience deploying applications in containerized or cloud environments (Kubernetes, AWS).
Strong systems thinking and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Comfortable in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
Must be based in a European timezone.

Base salary range: EUR 116,000 to 146,000 annually, with no individual salary negotiation.
Fully remote position with periodic in-person team gatherings.
