Remote Backend Engineer, Identity

Description:

• Join Tailscale as a full-time Backend Engineer focusing on identity and access management.
• Contribute to the development of the Tailscale product, including open source client code and backend services.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to shape features and take ownership of the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, SAML); SCIM knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with distributed systems and building secure, scalable services.
• Proficiency in Go programming language is a plus; experience with SQL databases required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.
