Remote Cyber Security Engineer

Description:

• Seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support a critical defense program.
• Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enhancing enterprise cybersecurity controls, contributing to security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2 to 4 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS technologies, EDR solutions, and firewall platforms.
• Understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure configuration baselines.
• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and security compliance frameworks.
• Preferred: Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) and experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Splunk Enterprise Security.
