Description:

Join Blackline Safety as a Data Engineer to expand, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for an IoT-enabled safety ecosystem.
Work with large datasets to ensure scalable, secure, and timely data delivery.

Requirements:

Degree in Computing Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Experience with event-driven architecture (e.g., Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
Experience with monitoring platforms (CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty).
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (AWS Glue Studio, Matillion, AWS Step Functions).
Proficiency in AWS data services (Redshift, EMR, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, MSK).
Strong skills in SQL, Python, Java, and/or Scala.
Ability to work in agile teams and collaborate effectively.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot).
Nice to have: experience with big data technologies (BigQuery, Snowflake, Hive, Hadoop, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Amazon Quick).
