Remote Power System Engineer

Description:

• Provides engineering analysis and technical support for the interconnection of new generators to the company system.
• Ensures compliance with NERC Standards, company Protocols, Planning Guide, and Market Guides.
• Conducts Powerflow studies and reviews interconnection applications.
• Identifies process improvements and communicates requirements to stakeholders.
• Tracks project milestones from study request to commercial operation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Entry level: Less than one year of experience in the electric utility industry.
• Level 2: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in the electric utility industry.
• Preferred: Experience with power system load flow studies, technical report writing, and programming (Python, VBA).
