Trustly is a global leader in Open Banking Payments, aiming to revolutionize the world of payments and establish Pay by Bank as the new standard at checkout.
The Senior Back-End Engineer will design tech solutions, discuss non-functional requirements, propose new tools, create technical documentation, and assess new solutions for maintainability.
The role involves developing metrics, alerts, and system dashboards using tools like Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, and New Relic.
The engineer will provide training for newcomers and operational teams, and support operational teams by monitoring system health and performance.
Responsibilities include leading initiatives to gather business requirements, participating in functional discussions, documenting features, and creating plans for task-forces.
The engineer will autonomously develop complex solutions, lead bug fixing, create and maintain integration and unit tests, and develop API endpoints and new backend services.
The role requires analyzing large volumes of data and logs to investigate complex issues and ensure system performance.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid knowledge and experience with Java.
A strong understanding of software engineering concepts is required.
Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases is essential.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate ownership and a focus on solutions.
The ability to work with remote and international teams is required.
Clear and objective communication skills are essential.
Fluency in English is not required, but candidates should be comfortable participating in meetings.
