Remote Backend Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong backend engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency.
• Proficiency in Python / TypeScript / Node.js or strong adjacent experience.
• Solid quantitative foundation: probability, statistics, numerical methods.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and event-driven or streaming architectures.
• Habit of proving correctness with tests and a fail-safe mindset.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in trading, market-making, exchanges, or derivatives/options pricing.
• Knowledge of market micro-structure and order-book dynamics.
• Familiarity with low-latency systems, WebSockets, and event sourcing/CQRS.
• Experience with double-entry ledger or payments platforms.
• Cloud experience at production scale (AWS EKS/RDS), Terraform, observability tools.
• Simulation/backtesting experience with statistical rigor.
