Description:

Join Polymarket, the largest prediction market platform, as a Senior Backend Engineer to work on Gamma, the core backend.
Develop and implement Go-based services that handle high request throughput with low latency, ensuring reliability and performance.

Requirements:

5+ years of production experience in Go, with strong knowledge of idioms, interfaces, and concurrency patterns.
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs at scale.
Deep SQL expertise with PostgreSQL or MySQL; familiarity with Redis and ClickHouse.
Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems like Redpanda or Kafka.
Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
(Plus) 1+ years of production experience in Rust.
(Plus) Familiarity with prediction markets, trading platforms, or financial systems.
(Plus) Experience with blockchain or Web3 systems, especially EVM-based.
(Plus) Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
